Welcome to The Gables Yard
The buildings date back to the nineteenth century and were originally a butcher’s premises. Since 1971 owners Pat and Simon Whiteside with the help of family and friends have meticulously renovated the buildings and yard to create a fabulous setting for artists to work in. Read more about the history of the Yard > The workshops are perfect for all forms of design, media, art and crafts such as furniture makers and restorers, upholsterers, stained glass designers, potters, print makers, graphic designers and photographers, jewellery and fashion designers, painters, sculptors, authors and poets Artists are drawn to The Gables Yard as it is a natural setting for creation and innovation. Tenant car parking is available in the yard and there are plenty of car parking spaces for visitors on the roadside or in the car park beside the village green.
